WHO WE ARE
Jan Kåhre started his long career in inline measurements in the late 60’s, and subsequently became a leading expert in process refractometers.
In 1979, Jan co-founded K-Patents Oy which for decades was the world leader in refractometers. Jan retired in 2008 after 30 years at the helm of K-Patents, and focused on other interests and projects such as writing books. K-Patents was later acquired by Vaisala in 2018.
Despite Jan's retirement, some unsolved problems with refractometry in pharmaceutical applications would not rest his mind. This lead Jan to develop some groundbreaking ideas, and once again engaged himself in product development and the founding of Janetsons Oy together with his sons.
The aim of Janetsons Oy is to launch a new and revolutionary series of refractometers, making inline measurements of concentrations possible in pharmaceutical applications previously considered impossible.
